The new iPhone OS will be released today--for the iPhone 3G and iTouch as the iPhone 4 is not out yet--and app heads are already chomping at the bit to get the next-gen apps for their iPhone. Sadly Skype has already fallen victim to their impatience.
On the 9-5 Mac blog, writers are picking up on the app impatience as Skype is not ready to release their iOS4 Skype version just yet. It seems what is making users mad is the fact that Skype was featured in Apple's presentation of the iPhone 4 and thus some customers assumed that the Skype app was ready for prime time.
According to Skype, the numerous changes to the iPhone operating system requires them to go through and make sure their app is delivering the best experience possible on the new platform.
