Orange announced that they are launching mobile High Definition Voice, which is now available nationwide at no extra cost for all UK Orange customers with an HD voice enabled handset.

Orange in France has decided to do a little experiment. They are deploying payphones across Paris that feature 17 inch touchscreens and VoIP calls.

As a way to entice usage, the VoIP payphones also offer web browsing and email checking. The phone booths themselves were designed especially by a street furniture and billboard advertising design group JCDecaux. The new phones are part of a six month experiment seeking feedback from users to see what other features payphone callers might enjoy.
