11/10/2010 - ITEXPO: Patton, 3CX and Faxback form IP alliance
Patton maker of VoIP gateways, 3CX which provides software based IP-PBX and FaxBack provider of VoIP fax technology, announced their joint offering of a suite of IP communications technology targeted at enterprise networks at ITEXPO last week.
The three companies are providing their products as a joint offering for fast and easy setup. The interoperable products will provide enterprises with the next generation of IP-based fax management to help companies move away from the traditional phoneline based fax offerings. In addition, the offering involves productivity-enhancing features like print-to-fax, integration with MS-Outlook, and inbound fax delivery as an email attachment.

3CX released a new version of its free VoIP softphone for Windows - 3CXPhone 4.0.
3CXPhone is a free, SIP-based VoIP phone that allows to use any PC or laptop as a phone. Making calls to any VoIP, mobile or landline number is possible after connecting 3CXPhone to a VOIP provider or to a VoIP PBX. With 3CX Gateway for Skype users can also make and receive calls to Skype numbers.
