Despite the poor economy last year, 8x8 was able to add about 1,000 new business customers each quarter. The company now claims to have 20,000 business customers taking advantage of 8x8's Virtual Office phone service, hosted Call Center and Key System services, as well as SIP trunking and unified communications (UC) solutions.
The company launched its Virtual Office Pro service only in January, and it already boasts 2,500 business customers paying subscriptions for that service. That new service allows business customers to access web telephony, video and voice Web conferencing, fax, call recording, an online dashboard with Outlook contacts and corporate directory integration all from a web portal. The service also has an iPhone app tie-in.

selected Empirix’s Hammer XMS
to enhance its monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities of potential issues across
its more than 17,000 route miles of fiber optic network across the western United
States.
360networks helps its voice, data and web-based application and service provider customers quickly pursue next-generation strategies, migrate from legacy networks, grow into new markets and services, and increase network diversity. By providing increased efficiency for analyzing, diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues, as well as providing the ability to correlate multiple VoIP and SS7 protocols, Hammer XMS enables 360networks to deliver high quality services to these customers.
Hammer XMS delivers carrier-class network monitoring that provides complete visualization into real-time service quality. Along with a flexible and easy-to-use Graphical User Interface, it optimizes the search and diagnosis process, while continuously monitoring the network. This benefit enables service providers to detect negative trends in voice quality early on, thus preventing poor service quality from reaching the customer.
VoX
Communications has become the first carrier to deploy a mobile-VoIP, unlimited
data and voice service, on the latest full-featured smart phone from Nokia. There
is considerable interest about the Nokia N900 on the Internet, which compares very
favorably to devices such as the iPhone. An iPhone comparison can be found at this website.
Vox is selling the N900 with a service plan today and anticipates that it will soon release a software download of its VoIP product. Then consumers who have already purchased an N900 will be able to subscribe to the VoX Mobile VoIP plan with a simple signup process that will deliver the software to the phone. The Nokia N900 with VoX Mobile service is immediately available to order from the VoX website at http://www.voxcorp.net.
