Orange in France has decided to do a little experiment. They are deploying payphones across Paris that feature 17 inch touchscreens and VoIP calls.
As a way to entice usage, the VoIP payphones also offer web browsing and email checking. The phone booths themselves were designed especially by a street furniture and billboard advertising design group JCDecaux. The new phones are part of a six month experiment seeking feedback from users to see what other features payphone callers might enjoy.
